MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -
The Colquitt County baseball team drew a tough card in the second round of the GHSA AAAAA state playoffs. A week after taking 2 of 3 from Westlake in the first round, the Packers hooked up with a hungry Brookwood team that put up 9 runs on the board against Colquitt County in first game of the best of 3 second round series.
Brookwood handed the Packers a 9-1 defeat in game one. Game two didn't yield much more offense for Colquitt County as Brookwood came away with a 3-0 win effectively ending the Packers' season.
Colquitt County finished the season 19-10 overall and 1-AAAAA champions.
