Starting in July, Georgia residents who need to renew, reinstate, or apply for a Georgia driver's license or state ID card will have to do it in person.
The governor's office says the Secure ID program ensures the integrity of driver's licenses and identification cards.
Beginning July 1, customers will need to go to a Department of Driver Services customer service center and present their original identification documents.
