How to get "sun-kissed" skin

Want a radiant, sun-kissed look without having to hit an unhealthy tanning bed?

"My trick to the bronzed, glowy look is using more creams and liquids, and fewer powders," says Jessica Metivier, our beauty expert, "Start with an illuminating foundation, which has a slight sheen to it."

The next step is going to be bronzer. You can use powder if you have it, but Jessica recommends liquid for this look.

Apply right on the cheeks and then follow with coral cream blush on the apples.

"Again, I want to use a cream because I want it to be really dewey, and nothing too matte. A gold or bronze-toned cream on the lids is beautiful by itself, or for more definition, apply a deeper bronze shadow into the crease," suggests Jessica.

Follow up with a pop of shimmery powder or eye shadow under the brow, in the inner corner of the eyes, and on the tops of the cheek bones.

Smudge a dark brown or black eyeliner right into the top lash line, and outer corner of the bottom lash line.

Follow up with a quick curl, two coats of mascara, and fill in the brows.

You can keep the glow going by applying a gloss to your lips – Jessica suggests mixing a coral and gold-toned gloss.

"One trick is putting a little pop of shimmer right on the center of your lips – it really accentuates them," she adds. "Just use the same shimmer you use on your brow bone and on your cheeks."
