Murder suspect caught in Grady County after high speed chase

Deputies captured a Thomas County murder suspect after a high speed chase through two counties.  It all came to an end tonight (4/14) near Cairo in Grady County where Jerrall Queen was taken into custody.

Officials say Queen shot a woman to death this afternoon on Bernice Glenn Road in Boston. He took off into Grady County in a Ford F-150 pickup where he first eluded deputies during a brief chase.

A lookout was issued for that truck and around 9:30 PM Decatur County deputies spotted his truck. We're told Queen pointed a gun at deputies and then raced into Grady County, reaching speeds upwards of 120 miles an hour.

Sheriffs Harry Young says his deputies put out stop sticks on Highway 111 near Pine Park Road. That's when Queen hit those stop sticks and crashed.  Queen, as well as the deputies and state troopers are ok.  The GBI is investigating the murder and we believe Queen is headed back to Thomas County where murder warrants have been issued.

We have a crew on scene and will bring you the latest as it becomes available.
