THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - It wasn't Mitt Romney or President Obama, but a presidential candidate did campaign in south Georgia Tuesday.
An independent candidate brought his campaign to Thomasville.
"Average Joe" Schriner has run in every presidential election since 2000.
He travels across the country with his wife and three kids speaking on issues such as education, global warming, and nuclear proliferation.
"We have enough nuclear weapons to blow the planet up three hundred times over. Why not, common sense would say, have enough nuclear weapons to blow it up once. And then take that savings to help in the inner city and to help in the third world as far as world hunger," said Schriner.
Schriner, who is from Ohio, plans to spend the next week in Georgia before making stops in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
