Law enforcement officers wrapped up their crime scene investigation in Tift County this afternoon, about seven hours after a double murder, suicide.

Innis Road, a small dirt road in Southern Tift County, was closed all morning as investigators collected evidence in the mass shooting.

We're told Darrell Ward man shot and killed his in-laws, Shirley and Junior Peters, then shot his estranged wife Kayla several times, then killed himself.

Kayla Peters survived and made it to a neighbor's house where they called 911.

"I feel for the family. It's just such a tragedy and so uncalled for," said Family friend Bonnie Lindsey.

Kayla was shot three times and was airlifted to a Macon hospital, where she remains.
