Tornado confirmed in Lanier Co. damage across south GA

Right now, storm damage has a man trapped inside his mobile home at the intersection of Highways 122 and 135 in Valdosta north of Moody Air force Base

A tornado has been confirmed in Lanier County just inside of Lakeland.

In Coffee Co. storm damage has left several homes with minor roof damage in Breton, several other buildings have also been damaged, and one commercial structure was damaged.  

Near Moody Air Force Base, two mobile homes have overturned. Trees and power lines are down.

We've got reports of a barn damaged on Beattie Mill Creek in Lowndes County.

In the southwest, in Thomas County, the fire chief says there's water across the road on Highway 84 in front of Grandaddy's BBQ, at Highway 122 and Coffee Rd., and 319 and McDunna.  

In Decatur County, emergency responders say they've had one home damaged.  

In Grady County they've had trees down and strong winds have damaged several barns.  

The Mitchell County Sheriff's Office confirmed a tornado was spotted near Branchville. Deputies reported wind damage that downed several trees.

Here in Albany, standing water on the Liberty Bypass is causing cars to hydroplane.  It's caused at least five separate crashes involving multiple vehicles.

In Tift County this morning, callers to the station reported winds blowing in three different directions and clouds swirling in Kelltown, between Tifton and Omega, along Highway 319. 

Witnesses say they say a funnel cloud touch down and pass over Highway 85 in Mitchell County near Captain Franks Restaurant, earlier this morning.   

Baker County was one of the first counties to see damage this morning.  The Baker County 911, reported several trees down throughout the county.
