THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Some may see it as fun or daring activity..but performing lude and indecent acts in public can land you in jail.Last week Thomasville Police say two out of towners, Amber Hagan and Randy Nevismal were caught by officers engaging in sexual relations in a field. It all started when a call came in from the Shoe Department off US Highway 19.

Lt. Eric Hampton says,"Officers responded to some complaints from some citizens regarding some one who is being indecent"

When they arrived on the scene the manager told officers of a disruption behind their store

Hampton "They spoke with the management of that business who stated that she too had seen these two individuals behind the business in a wooded area."

The manager said not only did she witness it but many customers and families as well

Hampton says, "The business was in operation the manager and they received several complaints of people exposing themselves and possibly involved in sexual intercourse."

After being ordered to put their clothes back on Nevismal and Hagen were cuffed and taken to Thomas county Jail

Hampton says, "The two of them were arrested and charged with public indecency."

Hampton says the act took place just yards away from a bowling alley and a Waffle House. Thomasville Police department says they are cracking down on these cases.

Hampton says "Public indecency is something we take very serious in Thomasville, our citizens here should not see people exposing themselves to others and people, especially where children can see."

And want the public to know that they are available to call if they see any inappropriate behavior

Hampton says, "We encourage any one that sees this activity to call so we can come out and investigate."
