ALBANY, GA -

The pro football season kicks off in Albany in less than a month, and this year the Albany Panthers will be playing on Phoebe Field.

Tuesday, the team announced an agreement with Phoebe Putney Hospital for the naming rights to the team's home field in the Civic Center.

Hospital officials say the Panthers represent the community well and provide good wholesome fun for South Georgia.

The Panthers, say partnering with Phoebe is another team victory.

"With the launching of Phoebe Field, we both have a deep commitment here in Albany. This is an extension of what we already had in place. Phoebe does a great job of keeping our players happy, with providing trainers and medical for our players and staff," said Will Carter, Albany Panthers General Manager.

Season tickets for the Albany Panthers are already on sale, and training camp starts next week.  The season opener will be March 17th against the Richmond Raiders.
