FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) - The Ben Hill County Board of Education has approved the hiring of Jason Strickland.

Strickland has been at Lamar County.

He led the Trojans to 27 wins, three playoff appearances and a region title in four years.

Strickland is a graduate at Clinch County High and has also been an assistant at Charlton County.

He takes over for Robby Pruitt who is now the head coach at Coffee High.
