Shooting victim holds rally

Posted: Updated:

A south Georgia barber who was shot last month is hosting a Stop the Violence rally Saturday at noon.

37-year old Franklin Thomas owns Cat's Cuts on West Highland. Thomas told officers a man walked into the shop around 7:30 PM on January 25th.

When he told the man he was closing for the night, he said the man pulled a gun and shot him. Thomas was struck in the arm and taken to Phoebe Putney Hospital.

Saturday, he will hold a rally to raise awareness about violence in the area.
