MOULTRIE, GA -
A sketch so vivid, so detailed, and it looks like its staring right through you, but in the picture shown is the eyes of a man on the run from the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office since last year after raping and beating a young woman
Lt. Shannon Heart of the Colquitt County Sheriff's Office says, "We had a victim that was approximately twenty years of age that came to the sheriff's office in August saying she was a victim of a sexual assault."
The victim gave the deputies and account of what her attacker looked like as they joined forces with GBI agents to track this man down.
"Since that time we have been doing an investigation along with the GBI to figure out who this individual is."
And the description allowed a sketch artist to create this with some distinct characteristics such as a salt and pepper low afro, glasses, and acne around his chin.
"We have a composite drawing of a black male that's in his mid 40's medium brown complexion and medium build."
They also want the community to look out for the suspects vehicle.
"We believe this individual could be driving a maroon in color extended cab or four door pick up truck."
Investigators hope someone will recognize this man and step up and do what is right.
"We are trying to develop some leads to figure out who this individual is that is responsible for this crime and we are hoping that someone will see this picture and be able to identify who he is."
So one young woman can finally have peace of mind.
