Over in Dawson, Terrell Academy senior golfer Christopher Rogers has signed on to play golf at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). Rodgers is a 5 year starter on the Terrell Academy golf team.
He has earned GISA All-State honors once, All-Region honors twice and also is a former GISA All Region Low Medalist. Chris also participated in the Georgia Junior Golf Tour and finished in the top 5 four times last season.
In addition, he also finished in 5th place in the Georgia State Golf Association sectional tournament at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta last season.
He says he enjoyed the small school feel at ABAC and can't wait to start his collegiate career.
Rodgers said "I prayed about it a lot. I felt like it was just where I needed to go. It's a small school and easy way for me to transition from high school to college and keep my grades up and play golf."
Rodgers plans to major in physical therapy.
