ALBANY, GA -

Three Albany State University faculty members are preparing for a trip to Africa.

Dr. Kimberly King-Jupiter will lead the group to Burkina Faso for the Association for the Development of Education in Africa conference.

They'll exchange ideas with their African counterparts.

King-Jupiter did her doctoral work in South Africa.

She says more exchanges are possible in the future.  "that is precisely our goal to establish partnerships, not just for students but for in-service partners, for academicians, administrators. There's so much that can be shared."

The conference runs from February 12th through the 17th.

One challenge will be communicating with the locals since the official language in the West African nation is French.
