Looking for a place to take your sweetheart Tuesday?

One restaurant you don't normally associate with romantic dinners is offering a Valentine's Day special.

How about a candlelight dinner at Waffle House? Some locations of the popular diner are dimming the lights and turning up the romance.

Some Waffle House locations across fifteen states are doing the Valentine's Dinner.

Setting the right atmosphere is crucial for a Valentine's Day Dinner.

And Waffle House knows that too. A few of their restaurants are getting ready to change from a traditional diner to a romantic date spot.

"It will have tablecloths," said Waffle House Area Director Chris Parrott. "It will have alcohol free champagne. The lighting will be dimmer. It will be cloth napkins instead of paper. The atmosphere will be more of 5-star sit down and less fast production waffle house."

The idea started five years ago in an Atlanta Waffle House. The store in Adel did it last year and this is the first time the fine dining is happening in Tifton.

If you want in on this for Valentine's night, you better hurry up. The Waffle House in Tifton already has 12 reservations and they say they are going fast.

And more people do seem interested. Tyler Bridwell is a student in Tifton. He says it will be a fun experience that fits into his budget.

"The girl that I'm taking doesn't know that we're going to waffle house yet," said Bridwell. "She just knows she needs to dress up pretty fancy. I expect to see a pretty good amount of patrons."

The idea is to bring an endearing feel to a Southern tradition. They will of course have waffles available. But, they will also offer a different menu.

"It's going to be a specialized menu: ribeye and eggs, porkchop dinner, t-bone dinner," said Parrott. "It will be a very short. But, it is more about the atmosphere."

While love is spreading throughout the air, you might just find it in an unexpected place.

There are two Waffle Houses in South Georgia that are doing the dinner. One is the store near the Tifton Mall and the other is in Adel.

If you want to make reservations, just go to either Waffle House and sign up.
