ROCHELLE, GA (WALB) - Wilcox County's Nick Marshall has found a new college and a new position.
Wilcox County head coach Mark Ledford says Marshall enrolled at Garden City Community College in Kansas on Tuesday.
His move to Kansas comes five days after Marshall and two other players were dismissed from the Georgia football team for violating team rules.
The other two players were receiver Sanford Seay from Leesburg and defensive back Chris Sanders from Atlanta.
Ledford says Marshall is planning to play quarterback at Garden City and adds Nick says he is looking forward to returning to offense.
Marshall was the quarterback who led Wilcox County to the Class A state championship three years ago.
He played defensive back and special teams in his freshman season at Georgia.
Ledford says enrolling at Garden City now will help Marshall with his academics as Marshall eyes a return to a four-year school.
Ledford says it is too far out to speculate on where Marshall will play after Garden City.
The dismissal of Marshall and Sanders has raised concerns about depth in the Bulldog secondary this year.
