The 24th annual Georgia Quail Hunt kicks off at 5:30 today at Wynfield Plantation on Leary Road.
The Georgia Quail Hunt is one of the state's premier economic development marketing events.
It brings together top corporate executives, Georgia government leaders and economic development partners for a few days in Southwest Georgia.
The event is an opportunity for Georgia to showcase its quality of life and business climate to corporate decision makers whose businesses are poised for expansion or relocation.
Since the Quail Hunt's inception in 1994, its guests have invested $2.6 billion in Georgia and created more than 8,400 jobs through corporate relocations or expansion.
The Georgia Quail Hunt is co-sponsored each year by the Georgia Chamber, the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission, the Georgia Allies and the Southwest Georgia Chamber Council.
Company sponsors for this year's event include MillerCoors, Kia Motors America, and Kia AutoSport dealerships in Albany and Columbus.
