NASHVILLE, GA -
Criminal charges are now filed in that teenaged- girl street fight in Berrien County.
Forty-six year old Michael Fackler is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
His daughter is 16 year old Alexis Fackler, the dark-haired girl shown in the video fighting 17 year old Tabitha Harp.
The girls slugged it out in front of a crowd on Old Milltown Road in Berrien County last Tuesday.
The video was even posted on YouTube.
Investigators say Michael Fackler can be heard on the video encouraging his daughter to hit the other girl.
The sheriff says Michael Fackler not only drove his daughter to the fight, but he stopped kids who tried to break it up.
After his arrest, Fackler posted 15-hundred dollars bond.
Several people we spoke with were shocked to see the video of two teens duking it out in the middle of a street, with a parent urging them to do it.
"It's very disappointing," said Joe Allen. "Very Disappointing. It's bad enough to see two young ladies fighting period and to see them fighting in the streets like that is awful," said Joe Allen.
Investigators say 46-year-old Michael Fackler, the father of the girl in the black shirt, encouraged his daughter to fight and did nothing to break it up.
I showed the video to several people today and all agreed the dad was wrong. "That's crazy," said James Jefferson.
"I think it's real sad for a father to be in charge and encouraging this type of stuff to go on. I think it's real sad to see that," said Allen.
Fackler is now charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Some people say the girls should be charged too.
Should the teens should be charged as well? "Yes, but they're children. They aren't responsible for themselves, their dad is," said Allen.
Do you think the girls should be charged as well? "yes, both of them. I mean They knew what they were doing," said Jefferson.
The people we spoke with today wonder why nobody who witnessed the fight stepped in to try to stop it.
If Michael Fackler is convicted, he could face a fine up to $2,500 and possible jail time.
