Posted: Updated:

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A south Georgia school is bringing a classic children's tale to life on stage this weekend.

Students from Brookwood School in Thomasville are performing Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella Enchanted."

The show has cast of 106 student actors, ranging in age from four to 18. Brookwood has put on a large-scale musical production every year for the last 20 years.

"Thomasville has always put great emphasis on the arts. You can really go back to its early history when the railroads stopped here and Thomasville has always been concerned with promoting the arts. We see it in the Center for the Arts, and the Music and Drama Troupe, and we certainly see it here at Brookwood," said Show Producer and Assistant Headmaster David Grooms.

The performances are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium. Tickets are available at Center Drugs in Cairo, Brookwood School, Jan's Hallmark and at the door.
