THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A little taste of Broadway is coming to south Georgia this weekend. The Thomasville Music and Drama Troupe is hosting a fundraiser Saturday.

The evening will feature a cocktail buffet reception at the Piney Woods Farm home of Dr. and Mrs. Gerald Kadis, the auction of several Broadway-themed dinners, and a performance by a special guest.

"Our entertainment for the evening is the Troupe's student performers and a number of ensembles representing the Thomasville Music and Drama Troupe. As well as Tyrick Wiltez Jones who is a current Broadway performer," said Co-President Rick Ivey.

Jones has performed on Broadway in Finian's Rainbow and Hairspray.

Reception tickets are $75 a person. For more information, contact event chairman Sugar Blount at (229) 403-7770.
