ALBANY, GA -
Citizens of Georgia Power honored Dr. King by volunteering at the Flint Riverquarium.
About 20 people came out and wanted to give back. They spent the morning hours replacing bedding in the bird cages.
Another group picked up weeds and leaves out the blue hole. They wanted to honor the memory of Dr. King through unselfish-service to others.
"It shows the community that we can common together for a common goal that benefits everybody. This is a great way to honor Dr. King's memory," said Jason McCoy.
This is just one of many events taken place across the state by Citizens of Georgia Power.
