    Three Albany men plead guilty to being part of a burglary ring that broke into dozens of northwest Albany homes last year. 20-year-old Justin Hendricks was sentenced to seven years in prison for burglary.

News release from the Pataula Drug Task Force

On Thursday, January 12, 2012, law enforcement officers with the Pataula Drug Task Force and state, local, and federal agencies executed 40 arrest warrants in Miller, Seminole, Early, Randolph, Quitman, and Clay Counties and in the cities of Arlington and Edison. 

These arrests were the result of a four month undercover illegal narcotics investigation conducted by the Pataula Drug Task Force.

The investigation was initiated in an effort to eradicate illegal drugs, drug dealers and dangerous weapons from within the neighborhoods. Numerous items of contraband to include crack cocaine, marijuana, and prescription pills were located and seized during the execution of the arrest warrants. A loaded semi-automatic handgun and a revolver were also seized.

Arrests resulting from the investigation are as follows:

City of Arlington: Troy Eafford, age 28, Sale of Marijuana; Michael George, age 32, Sale of Cocaine; Bryson Johnson, age 27, Sale of Marijuana; Sam Jones, age 27, Sale of Schedule III Narcotic and Willie Monroe, age 34, Sale of Marijuana

City of Edison: Alvin Jennings, age 22, Sale of Marijuana and Antavious Johnson, age 18, Sale of Marijuana. There also was a juvenile complaint issued for a minor for Sale of Cocaine

Clay County: Ashleigh Jimenez, age 25, Sale of Marijuana (2 Counts)

Early County: Chris Foster, age 28, Sale of Cocaine; Charlie James Gilbert, age 23, Sale of a Controlled Substance; Rita Earlene Granados, age 38, Possession of a Schedule IV Narcotic; Derrick Toshambi Lee, age 34, Sale of Marijuana; Courtney Ofton, age 24, Sale of Marijuana; Xavier Ofton, age 29, Sale of Cocaine; Kelvin Thompson, age 41, Sale of Marijuana and Eric White, age 25, Sale of Cocaine

Miller County: Chaddrick O'Neal Baker, age 28, Sale of Marijuana; Curtis A. Battle, age 46, Sale of Schedule III Narcotic; Andre Grant, age 38, Sale of Cocaine; Henry Grant, age 52, Sale of Cocaine; Willie C. Grant, age 55, Sale of a Schedule III Narcotic; Katie Kirkland, age 18, Sale of Marijuana; John M. Newberry, Jr, age 20, Sale of Marijuana; Mary Sue Newberry, age 19, Sale of Marijuana; Adrian Vashon Peterson, age 27, Sale of Marijuana and Justin Wright, age 20, Sale of a Dangerous Drug (2 Counts) and  Sale of a Controlled Substance

The agencies that assisted the Pataula Drug Task Force included the Miller, Seminole, Early, Calhoun, Randolph, Quitman and Clay County Sheriff's Offices; Colquitt, Donalsonville, Arlington, and Edison Police Departments; Sylvester Field Office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), Georgia Department of Corrections Probation, Georgia Board of Pardons and Parole and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).
