Former Worth County standout Jamorris Gaines had a game high 36 points as the Albany Tech men's basketball team improved to 7-5 after beating South Crescent Tech 79-54. In the women's game, the Lady Titans were winners as well. The Tech women beat South Crescent 58-34.
The Titans will be back in action against at Daytona State on Tuesday. The Lady Titans will play at Hillsborough on Friday. In other basketball action from Thursday, the Georgia women's team beat Furman 83-58. The Florida Lady Gators were winners over Samford 81-56.
In the Border Wars tournament against Alabama the both Deerfield-Windsor teams lost. The boys, 72-55, the girls, 49-48. Also, the Crisp Academy girls were winners over Evangel 74-45
