BARWICK (WALB) – Two men wanted in connection with the shooting of a Barwick man are in the Thomas County Jail  facing numerous charges.

32- year-old Ben Vicks Junior and 27-year-old Leon Akery surrendered Friday to authorities.

 Deputies say the pair broke inside Derrick Henry's home 2 weeks ago on Kendrick Street and shot him as he ran from his home. Henry was hit in the side and leg and hospitalized in serious condition.

Both suspects are charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and firearms charges.

Akery also faces a charge of failing to register a sex offender. Vicks is facing  kidnapping charges.
