THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Yet another Olive Garden will open in South Georgia. An Olive Garden/Red Lobster combo will open in Thomasville next fall.

It'll be built near the Longhorn Steakhouse on U-S 19. "Thomasville is very excited about the opportunity to have restaurants and economic development occur in our city and certainly a Darden owned restaurant to complement the Longhorn's that's already here would be very exciting for Thomasville and great amenity for us to have," said City Planner Lee Chastain.

This week the Thomasville City Council approved commercial zoning and annexation.
