Eldridge out at Coffee High

After a 5-6 season and a first round playoff exit this past year, Coffee High head coach Ken Eldridge has handed in his resignation.  Coffee County superintendent Dr. Morris Leis has confirmed with WALB that Eldridge is no longer the Trojans' head coach.

Leis met with Eldridge and informed him that the school would be in search of a new head coach after the Christmas break.  Eldridge effectively resigned Thursday afternoon.  Leis says that the program wanted to go in a new direction but applauded Eldridge for his tremendous dedication and hard work while in Douglas.

Eldridge spent 4 seasons at Coffee High but was able to produce only 1 winning season, amassing a record of 21-24 during his time.  Lease also says that the school will accept all applicants in attempt to find the best candidate for the job.
