Almost four years later, and the memory of one of a dark day for a South Georgia family still haunts them.
"The family has been going through a lot because everyday we think about him," says Linda Prince, Mosely's niece .
Arthur Mosley, 82, was stabbed to death in his Smithville home in January 2008. With no one to hold accountable, his daughter Vanessa Mosley still mourns over his death.
Mosley says, "The bible says thou shall not kill to kill is to take him away from us that was wrong."
Over the past several years, investigators have aggressively searched to find the killer, but they have not been able to close the case. The family is baffled by the mystery.
Marion Prince, Arthur Mosely's nephew says, "I figured with all the new technology that it would be easy to find the murder suspect."
But technology has not been successful and investigators believe someone knows something that could help them catch the killer. They hope a $5,000 reward will convince someone to come forward.
GBI Agent Trebor Randle, "We ask them to really search themselves and have a heart and come forward with that information because it is the right thing to do."
The family's main goal is closure, so they can focus on Mosley's memory not his death.
Vanessa Mosley says, "I would make feel much better because like I say he didn't deserve this. He was a peacemaker not a peace-breaker ."
"My uncle was a good man, if it was anything that he could do for somebody he did it, and he never harmed a soul," says Prince.
