The Fitzgerald high football team began the long process of letting go one of its most prolific quarterbacks in some time. Senior Kaleb Nobles has committed to Valdosta State University. Nobles had over 5,000 yards passing in his career at Fitzgerald.
He wants to get an early start at VSU so Nobles will graduate high school this month and attend spring football in Valdosta early next year. He says it's key for quarterbacks to get in as much practice as possible.
Nobles said "Its a good feeling to finish and everything. I took a lot of academics last year to get done and graduate early. Hopefully I get a chance to go in there and earn some playing time if the Lord is willing for me to go in there and play next year then let it be. If I'm supposed to red shirt then I'll red shirt but I've had a lot of people that are supporting me in everything I do so I just appreciate it."
