Do you ever get over your first love?

Do you ever really get over your first love? There's no research or stats to back up that claim.

How about after years of being married to someone else, having kids and losing contact for more than 20 years? That's exactly what happened to Andrew and Doris Daniel in Smithville.

Recently the two got married in Americus, and it happened right on time. "I'm 79 years old, And She is 78 years old. We're nine years apart. I mean nine months," said New Wife Doris Daniels.

Andrew and Doris Daniel may forget their age. But they always remembered the love they had for one another. "I always cared for him. Even though I was married; I still thought about him," she said.

The two grew sweet on each other, at Stanley High school more than 60 years ago. "I use to love to watch her on stage at school. It would be six of them dancing and kicking all over the place," said New Husband Andrew Daniels.

After losing contact for more than 20 years. They reunited and tied the knot. "We thought let's get married and stay together forever," she said.

The Daniels share that made for TV love, like on the Dick Van Dyke Show. Their union makes a one big Brady Bunch. "I have 10 kids, 20 grand kids, and eight great grand kids," she said.

"I have nine kids and 20 grands. I also have 12 great grands," he said.

Back in the 50's in Americus, boys would play the sitting game to try and win the girl. "They would try and out sit each other," she said.

Her new beau, the Korean War Veteran himself didn't win that war. "I didn't feel too comfortable about it. I couldn't believe it. My best friend told me she had got married," he said.

Over a half of century apart and to them; it was well worth the wait.
