THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - U.S. Marshals arrested a Thomasville man charged with a sex offense in Florida.
55 year old Keith Charles Sumner is charged with failing to appear in court in Tallahassee. He was arrested at his Sumner Plumbing and Heating office on East Clay Street Wednesday.
He's charged with two counts of obscene communication with a minor and using a computer to entice a child for sexual purposes. "We were notified yesterday afternoon by the U.S. Marshals out of Tallahassee that Mr. Sumner had not appeared in court as he was supposed to and a Capias Warrant was signed on the 22nd of October for his arrest," said Thomas County Sheriff's Office Captain Steve Jones.
Sumner remains in the Thomas County Jail awaiting extradition to Tallahassee.
