Sit down for a creative conversation

Posted: Updated:

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Supporting the arts, especially during difficult economic times, was the topic of discussion at today's "Creative Conversation."

The Thomasville Center for the Arts partnered with Americans for the Arts to host "Building a Vital Community."

More than 30 representatives from local businesses showed up to the adult art programming studio to discuss challenges facing the arts in Thomasville. "In a recent study they found we have an economic impact of $2.8 million in our town so really the arts are not too expensive, it's too expensive to let them go," said Marketing Director Bonnie Hayes.

Creative Conversations are part of National Arts and Humanities Month, the nation's largest collective annual celebration of the arts.
