Dawson murder suspects named

Several people have been arrested in the murder of Walter Bell of Dawson. He was found dead of several gunshot wounds in his backyard on First Avenue last Thursday.

Firefighters had been at his home a couple of hours earlier to extinguish flames in his bedroom.

The GBI has released the names of the people who have been arrested in connection with the crime. Here is their News Release-

Four Arrested in Dawson, Georgia Murder

Dawson, GA – As result of the ongoing investigation by the Dawson Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation into the murder of Walter Bell, four men have been arrested in connection with this case.

On Wednesday, September 21, 2011, law enforcement officers from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Dawson Police Department, and the State Probation Department (Dawson Office) executed multiple felony arrest warrants for the following individuals:

Christopher Buffin, 23

Bryant Hughley, 23

Dominique Polite, 29

Machino Hudson, 30

 All have all been charged with first degree arson, felony murder, malice murder, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. They are being held at the Terrell County Jail.

Bell's body was discovered Thursday, September 15, behind his residence in Dawson. The investigation by the GBI and the Dawson Police Department continues.
