Albany Police say a man was shot Saturday around 6:30 p.m. at 655 Zackery Avenue. Authorities say the victim was shot in the upper thigh by a Lee County bail bondsman who works for ABC Express Bailbonds.More >>

NICHOLLS, GA (WALB) – A Coffee County man is hospitalized with a serious gunshot wound. The suspect accused of shooting him with a shotgun is in jail
Wednesday afternoon, deputies arrested 66-year-old Marion Richardson. Investigators say he shot Calvin Burch in the leg with a 12 gauge shotgun.
The two had been fighting at a home on Old Nicholls Road.
The wound was so bad, Burch had to be airlifted to a Savannah hospital. Officials say he is communicating and is stable.
Richardson is in the Coffee County Jail on charges of aggravated battery. More charges could follow.
