Ms. Doris Shorter has been missing from her house in Damascus since this past Friday night.
Ms. Doris or "Tot" as loved ones call her was never known to wander off, but loved ones fear that her battle of Alzheimer's may be catching up to her.
The street where Ms. Shorter lives is without power due to recent storms and her family believes she left the home to look for light.
All types of resources have been used to find her, including Emergency management Georgia State Patrol and searches by horse back, four wheelers, helicopters and a K9 unit.
And with the scent ending right at the road many believe that she was picked up by someone in a car.
A code red has been issued and anyone within a 3 mile radius of the house will be contacted by the sheriffs department.
The family is trying to stay hopeful in this time of fear and desperately is looking for anyone who may know or see her. The Early County Sheriff's department says that if there is no word soon the case will be given over to investigations.
