ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - Potential jurors in the salmonella trial in Albany have been told the case could take up at least two months. Asked if prolonged service would be a hardship, 20 people stood up. Three people are charged in a deadly salmonella outbreak linked to a Georgia peanut plant five years ago.

THOMSON, Ga. (AP) - Federal investigators say a plane struck a utility pole in a crash that killed an Augusta-based vascular surgeon and four of his colleagues last year. The NTSB says Georgia Power built the pole in 1989 but didn't notify federal aviation officials. The obstruction wasn't listed on aeronautical charts.

ATLANTA (AP) - The Atlanta Braves have chosen a group of developers that will build a multimillion dollar, mixed-use site near the team's new suburban ballpark. CEO Terry McGuirk says partnering with three Atlanta-based companies reflects the team's "local roots and global brand." The Braves are expecting to begin playing in the new stadium in 2017.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Questions at quarterback linger for Southeastern Conference teams going into preseason camps. At least five teams will have quarterback competition in camp, including Georgia. Coach Mark Richt is replacing Aaron Murray with fifth-year senior Hutson Mason.
