Bishop spoke with dozens of voters at a fundraiser Friday night in Albany.
He says his top priorities are to create a stronger economy, improve education, make communities safer, and provide more affordable healthcare that's available to everyone.
"It was motivating and I was glad to have people at home come together and reach out and have this event," said Bishop.
Bishop says he wants to create a stronger national defense while concentrating on fiscal responsibility. He'll face Republican Mike Keown in November.
