VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –  Senator Saxby Chambliss visited one of Valdosta's largest industries; a plant that makes high performance car parts.

Chambliss urged economic development authorities to keep working hard to attract businesses like Steeda Autosports that boost South Georgia's economy.

Once the economy picks up again, Chambliss believes Steeda could grow to become a huge economic engine across the southeast.

"It's critically important for industries like this to look at locations. They could've put this facility anywhere in the world, and two years ago they decided to come to Valdosta," Chambliss said.

Steeda Autosports manufactures products in Valdosta and ships them all over the world.
