Atlanta, GA -  (WALB)  WALB News 10 anchor Ben Roberts received an EMMY award Saturday night.

Ben received the EMMY for Outstanding News Anchor.

Ben received a Communication Arts degree with a minor in English from Georgia Southern University in 1991.

Shortly after college, Ben came to WALB as a general assignment reporter, and quickly became our weekend anchor, and then primary evening anchor.

He helped lead WALB's coverage of the flood of 1994 and covered the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Southeast Chapter is a professional, non-profit association dedicated to excellence in visual medial.

While based in Atlanta, the chapter serves the southeast region comprising the following geographic areas: Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Asheville, NC.
