ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany State University students no longer have to buy their textbooks, they can rent them.

Beginning fall semester, students will have the option of renting textbooks through the ASU Bookstore's Rent-A-Text.

Students can rent the books for about half the cost of buying new books.

The textbooks can be rented online or in the store.

"We're trying to keep up with what's going on, we know students have the option out there to rent text books so we wanted to be able to provide that option for students on campus," said Tara Jonson, ASU Bookstore Manager.

To rent a book, a student must be at least 18, have a valid credit card, and have a driver's license or state ID.

For more information about Rent-A-Text, contact the ASU Bookstore at 430-4746 or visit www.rent-a-text.com.
