Much ado is being made about School Superintendent appointee acquaintances as well as his lack of K -12 experience.
It should be noted that he has an established relationships with US Education Secretary Margaret Spellings as well as Assistant Secretary Dr. Henry Johnson who like Dr. Murfree is a member of the 100 Black Men of America but those associations have largely gone without notice or commentary.
In the brochure announcing the position opening, there is no mention of K-12 experience as part of the criteria so why now is that a concern?
Finally, what happened between Wednesday and 8:16 Saturday night that would cause Board member Windom to reconsider his vote?
Is this a classic case of the tail wagging the dog?
It is hard to remember that your mission is to drain the swamp when you're up to you waist in alligators!
