One down and one to go in a crime that happened in Northwest Albany a couple of months ago.
A man walked into Lake Park Storage Units, slipped behind the counter and helped himself to money.
He was able to do that because a guy walked in before him and asked the attendant to show him a unit, and the office was left unattended.
Well, we now know who these guys are. In fact, one of them is in jail.
Police say 26-year-old Travis Billings was the decoy who distracted the storage unit employee in May.
Turns out he was already in jail on a probation violation charge by the time police figured out it was him in the video.
So tonight, Travis Billings is no longer one of WALB's Most Wanted, he's Busted.
But his partner in crime is still wanted. 36-year-old Preston Martin is the one who walked into the storage unit office, went behind the counter and stole the money.
He's still on the run. He's 6'1", 220 pounds and sometimes wears glasses.
So, keep your eyes peeled for him. If you help police catch him, you could get some reward money. Just call Albany Crime Stoppers at 436-TIPS. You can remain anonymous.
