2008 Record:  6-4

Type of Offense:  Veer

Type of Defense:  Multiple

2009 Outlook:    We look to be improved.  Offensive line is a question mark along with linebacker corp.  Overall team speed and quickness is good.  Still trying to establish consistency on both sides of the ball, but our kicking game should be good.

When Bainbridge head coach Ed Pilcher arrived in town last year he brought with him a veer option attack that won him five state titles at Thomas County Central

The veer has produced championships but it is not easy to learn.

Coach Pilcher is hoping the learning is over for his Bearcats in year two.

Coach Pilcher has found his option quarterback in Rohan Gaines and Thomas Smiley is settling in as the breakaway back.

The Bearcats will throw the football and have a great target in former quarterback James Hudson who is now at receiver.

The questions marks for this team will be on the offensive and defensive lines.

Rebuilding those units should be a bit easier with coaches and players on the same page.

Ed Pilcher said "Our kids know what we expect from them. It is just so much better right now. I don't know if we are any better. Our kids are working very hard and they are doing a great job for us at this point."

Bainbridge opens the season August 22nd at Cairo.
