Problematic pellets in one Albany neighborhood

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany homeowner came too close for comfort with some armed vandals.

Just before 10 Monday night, Mark Brimberry was locking his vehicle when he heard what sounded like firecrackers. It turns out that two people driving down West 2nd Avenue were shooting pellets.

They caused major damage to his wife's SUV and shot out an entire window on his son's week-old truck. When Brimberry tried to stop the shooters, he says they began driving and shooting at him.

"I heard tattattatata ratatatatat and a whole bunch of that. So I walked around my car into the street," said Brimberry, "I have a .38 little snub nose pocket pistol. They're lucky I didn't pull it out and fire it at them. I should have but I'm glad I didn't because they're probably a bunch of punks."

Two pellets also damaged a third vehicle.  Around the corner, two windows were broken at Albany Vacuum on Slappey over the weekend.

Brimberry is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who helps catch and convict the shooters.
