A version of one of the most famous festivals in the world is coming to Albany this weekend. And all the benefits go to the Red Cross.
The third annual Oktoberfest will bring food, music, and more. The theme has German ties and has been a hit in Albany for the past two years.
"Oktoberfest is actually a beer festival held annually in Munich Germany," said spokesman Gerald Williams. "It has been held since 1810. Various people throughout the world actually have an Oktoberfest based on this theme. It is a big beer party and we are using this as a fund raiser for disaster relief for the Red Cross in this area."
Oktoberfest is from 6-10 PM Saturday at Veterans Park Amphitheater. Tickets are thirty dollars.
