GSW golf moves up in polls

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -  The Georgia Southwestern golf team is shooting to the top of the polls after their big fall season.

The Hurricane golf team is ranked number one in the southeast region and number sixth nationally according to Golf State.

Georgia Southwestern has won three tournament this fall and has yet to lose to any Division II in any field.

Three GSW golfers are ranked in the top ten in the region.

Craig Gibson is 3rd, J.P, Griffin is 4th and Nate Gahman is 7th.

The GSW golf team ends their fall season Monday and Tuesday at the Laker Invitational hosted by Clayton State in Hampton.

The GSW golf team spring schedule includes the Jackson State Intercollegiate, University of New Orleans Mardi Gras Invitational, the VSU Southeastern Collegiate, the Bearcat Classic in South Carolina and the Peach Belt tournament in Columbus in early April.
