Log truck overturns in Lake Park

Lake Park - A log truck overturned and spilled its load onto the road in Lowndes County this morning.

The truck was headed north on Highway 41 in Lake Park and was turning left onto Lakes Blvd. when it overturned.

Witnesses tell police the driver, Cole Tucker, took the turn too fast.

Tucker is being checked out at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.

The southbound lanes of Highway 41 were closed until the logs and truck could be removed.

The road is open now.
