An Albany Housing Authority plan to revitalize a central Albany neighborhood gets a stamp of approval from city leaders.  Commissioners approved a resolution of support for the plan to transform McIntosh Homes into a thriving mixed income community called "The Oaks at North Intown".

Outgoing Albany Mayor Willie Adams says he wants a former colleague on the city commission to take his place.

Wednesday, Mayor Adams endorsed Dorothy Hubbard in the mayor's race.  She also picked up the endorsement of former City Commissioner Morris Gurr.

Hubbard represented Ward Two for nearly six years.  She had to resign from the city commission when she qualified to run for mayor.

"We need somebody who can work with the entire community, not with just one segment of the community. No one special interest group. Dorothy Hubbard is such a person and I'm proud to endorse Dorothy Hubbard to be our next mayor of the city of Albany, Georgia."

Hubbard is up against Business woman BJ Fletcher and former state representative John White.

Early voting is underway now.  Election Day is November 8th.
