An Albany businesswoman is upset over a new business opening near her office.

The vacant lot next to Lula Davis' Realty Company on West Oglethorpe will be turned into a gas station.

Davis says there is not enough space for cars to come in and out of the station without her property being disturbed.  She also worries about her safety.

"Convenience stores, in many instances, bring loitering, drinking, thefts and what have you. So it's just not a good environment. It won't be a good environment the Lula Davis realty company," said Lula Davis.

The Georgia DOT already approved zoning and construction plans.

City Commissioners approved a Certificate of Appropriateness for the store's owners.
