Albany State ready to Rumble in the Swamp

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State football team has replaced Morehouse in the drivers seat in the SIAC eastern division race.

The Rams understand they still have a few miles to travel to make the first ever conference championship game next month in Atlanta.

Albany State's win over Morehouse pulled the Rams into a tie with Maroon Tigers in the eastern division standings.

If the two teams finish the season tied for first, Albany State wins the tiebreaker because of their win over Morehouse last week.

The Rams understand all they have to do is win their final three conference games to win the division title.

The next game is Saturday in Waycross against Clark Atlanta.

Albany State quarterback Stanley Jennings says the Rams will be ready coming off a big emotional win over Morehouse.

Stanley Jennings said. "We know what we have to do. We know we have to win out. It is going to take a lot. We are going to be focused and prepared to play."

Albany State plays Clark Atlanta at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Waycross.
