Shopping local this holiday season will give folks in one south Georgia county a chance to win a new boat and a chunk of cash.

Berrien County Chamber of Commerce and Nashville Better Hometown leaders are raffling off a Chaparral boat and $15,000.

You can get a free ticket if you shop in the county and bring in your receipts.

Befriend County Chamber of Commerce leaders say the historic building raffled off back in June sparked a lot of interest in the community. Now they're raffling off a brand new boat.

"We hope by offering our residents or anyone who chooses to come to Befriend County to shop for a chance to win such an elaborate prize that it will encourage our local residents to do a lot of their holiday shopping here as well," said Crissy Staley, the executive director for the Berrien County Chamber of Commerce.

It's called the H2O 18 Sport. Chaparral hopes the brand new series will create jobs for Nashville.

"We had a lot of initial orders and we're hoping we can increase our production at our factories and bring more people on campus for Nashville," said Mike Fafard with Chaparral.

Anyone who shops in Berrien County and spends $100 has a chance to win the Chaparral boat and $15,000.

"We feel that we lose a tremendous amount of sales tax revenue to our neighboring communities specifically Valdosta and Tifton," said Staley.

All you have to do is bring in your receipts from any of several businesses and you can exchange them for a raffle ticket.

By shopping in Berrien County, the benefit is two fold you could have a brand new boat for Christmas and you'll boost the Berrien County economy.

The Buy Berrien Holiday Giveaway contest runs through December first.

Here's a press release from the Berrien County Chamber of Commerce:
